I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
